Nest Wi Fi router and points not connecting

I got a used Nest Wi fi 2nd generation from E bay in the Us and now it is not connecting to my DSL router in Pakistan.

I have connected the cables and wires properly, the google app is updated and i have internet on the router but the google app doe not pick the router properly.

Is it region locked or is the firmware missing something. The device warranty is showing expired in 2021.

Your Nest WiFi (2nd Gen) isn’t region-locked, but it may have compatibility issues with your DSL router in Pakistan. Try these fixes:

Factory reset and set it up again.
Ensure your ISP supports PPPoE (manual login may be needed).
Enable bridge mode on your router.
Update firmware if outdated.
Try a different Ethernet port on the router.

1. Factory Reset tried but did not work.

2. ISP supports PPPoE. Below is the message they wrote to me

"Dear Customer,
With reference to your complain, this is to update you that you may configure the L3 (PPPoE) mode on your router or firewall or any other L3 device, we only need to shift our ONT to bridge mode and share the PPPoE credentials with you. Kindly verify the PPPoE credentials 1st by dialing it over your laptop and then configure your L3 device accordingly."

What configuration do i need to do on the PPPoE for my router? This is a Huawei HG8247H router from the ISP (DSL) and I have IPTV and VOIP also.

Please also advise how to check and upgrade firmware on the Google Nest Wi Fi routers and points.

1. Configuring PPPoE on Your Router (Huawei HG8247H)

Since your ISP is using bridge mode, you'll need to configure PPPoE on your router. Follow these steps:

Log into the Huawei HG8247H Web Interface
- Connect your PC to the router via Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
- Open a browser and enter: 192.168.100.1 (default gateway).
- Log in (default credentials: admin / admin or check with your ISP).
Set Up PPPoE Connection
- Go to WAN > WAN Configuration.
- Click New or select an existing WAN connection.
- Set Connection Type to PPPoE.
- Enter the PPPoE username and password provided by your ISP.
- Ensure NAT and VLAN settings match your ISP’s requirements (some ISPs use VLAN ID).
- Click Apply / Save and reboot the router.

2. IPTV and VOIP Configuration

If your ISP provides IPTV and VOIP, you may need separate VLAN settings.
Check with your ISP for the VLAN ID for IPTV and VOIP, then configure them under LAN > IPTV settings or VoIP settings in the router interface.

3. Checking & Upgrading Google Nest Wi-Fi Firmware

If you buy the Nest WiFi in the United States, it might not be compatible if you move to another country; since wireless regulations vary by country, you might experience compatibility issues if you move your WiFi device to a different country, and Google will be unable to offer support. It's strongly recommended that you purchase Google WiFi from the country where you'll be using it.
