Failed chromecast connection to wifi

Connecting chromecast device to google home works, however upon connecting to the wifi network it seems to “fail”? I have also turned local network on as suggested.

Hey! Double-check the Wi-Fi password and make sure you’re on a 2.4GHz network (if your router has both). Try restarting your router and Chromecast

Has your Chromecast been connected to your network before, or is this the first time setting it up?
How far is your Chromecast from your router?
Have you tried any troubleshooting steps so far?
Please share a picture of the error you're getting.

Please let me know the answers to these questions, and also if you've tried the previous suggestions shared, and whether or not they worked.
