Hi everyone,

i don’t have a wifi at home but i have hotspot on my iphone how can i connect chromecast to my hotspot on my iPhone i tried with home google app but nothing works

In response to your inquiry about how to connect your Chromecast to a hotspot on your iPhone, I inform you that you will need 2 mobile devices. On one of the mobile devices, you will set up the Chromecast using the Google Home app, and on the second mobile device, you will set up a hotspot.

On the second device, turn on mobile data and hotspot.
On the first device, turn on the WiFi, then connect to the hotspot of the second mobile device.
From the first device, open the Google Home app.
Go to ‘Favorites” or “Devices.”
Choose the Chromecast device.
Follow the prompts until you reach the WiFi setup screen.
Select the mobile hotspot as the WiFi network.
Enter the password for the hotspot network.
Click the Set Network button.

The use of a hotspot is a method not recommended by Google because it will degrade the Chromecast device's performance while casting.

I tried using an iphone to connect and it seems to be not connecting at all..Should I use a android phone?
