topic Nest Thermostat Matter Control in Home Automation

I have the thermostat hooked up with a matter controller and looking at what is available over the matter connection, it looks like some functionality isn't exposed (or I'm just not looking at it correctly). I see heating and cooling minimum and maximum temperatures and set points, local temperature, system mode, and a switch to turn the system on and off. What I don't see though is the ability to turn on and off the fan (separate from heating and cooling), and I don't see any indication of whether the thermostat is calling for heating or cooling. Are these available through the Matter interface?

Hi BJamin99,

Thanks for reaching out. I understand that you cannot control your thermostat device when connected with Matter. I am happy to assist you! Before we continue, could you please tell me what type of Google Nest thermostat device you have?

I will be awaiting your response.

Regards,

Manuel

Thanks Manuel. I can control some parts, but the fan I cannot control. It is a Nest Thermostat 2020. I contacted support and they confirmed that the fan is not exposed through Matter.
