They discontinued Nest Secure after I paid hundreds to buy the hardware and install it in my home.

They discontinued the Nest Thermostats that are no longer accessible through any app, after I paid hundreds to equip my home with them.

They discontinued Nest Protect, after I spent over a thousand dollars to equip my home with them.

Never, ever trust Nest or Google for anything. They will, with 100% certainty, remotely brick whatever you buy. It's just a matter of time. I trusted them to make my home "smart." They proved to me that I am not. I'm a cautionary tale. Buy elsewhere.

Any financial planner will always tell you to diversify your investments. The smart home should be no different.

I use Alexa, Google and third party cameras, bulbs and plugs to get the job done.

When Google fails me Alexa picks up the slack and vice-versa.
