Changing the response volume

Hi, I have a google nest hub and also the nest hub max. Just wondering if there is a way to turn down or completely turn off the google assistant responses? I play white noise on them for when bub is asleep but everytime I ask it to turn on or off the response is what wakes bub.

Hey Bm22,

Thanks for posting.

You can lower the volume of your Google Assistant’s responses and dim the brightness of Google Nest or Home speaker or display’s LED lights to avoid being disturbed.

Turn on Night mode

Make sure that the mobile device or tablet is signed into or linked to the same account as the Google Nest display, Google Home speakers, and/or Chromecast device.

Make sure the mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi as the speaker or display.
Open the Google Home app .
Tap the device card of the preferred speaker or display.
At the top right, tap Settings Notifications and digital wellbeing Night mode Enable night mode .

Schedule Night mode

Under From, tap choose the time Ok.
Under To, tap choose the time Ok.
Tap the day(s) of the week Night mode will be on. If the circle is blue, Night mode is on for that day.

You can also lower the maximum volume of the Assistant at night by dragging the slider to the left.
