&lt;P&gt;Thanks for posting in the community. I understand that your Nest Cam (wired, 2nd gen) wasn't triggering your smart lights when motion was detected, even though the camera was detecting motion and sending a notification, but the automation wasn't running. I’m glad to hear that you were able to resolve this issue by changing the starter from motion to person and that it's now working as expected!       <title>Gen 2 wired nest camera</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I just received my new wired gen 2 nest camera. I can’t get the camera to trigger my smart bulbs/ floodlights when motion is detected. When my floodlights detect motion they automate as setup to. It detects motion and I get the notification but won’t automate&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
