Tapo camera goes to information screen

Just purchased a tapo c200. Camera setup and connected to the Google home network without any issue. If I go into the tapo app, the camera comes right up with all its features. However I. The assistant it just comes up with information page (what room it's in what it's name is device information and such) it only has unlink tapo at the bottom as the only thing to interact with?

Anyonly know how to get it to show the camera ?

only google or nest -branded devices are viewable in the home app 😞

it's to force you to buy their own devices

tplink and all other brands used to work on chromecasts but the feature is currently broken

(sorry to have to be the 1 to give you the bad news)

Google Assistant only recognizes your Tapo C200 as a basic device. Full camera features usually require using the Tapo app directly, as Google Assistant currently supports limited controls for Tapo cameras. Make sure both the Tapo app and Google Home app are updated for best compatibility.
