1. You could set a timer for 2 hours.

"Set a Device on timer for 2 hours"

Set a delay for 1 hour 59 minutes.

"Cancel Device on timer"

"Hey Google, Time left" to find out how much time was remaining.

2. You would have to turn on the device for your maximum time as a device timer (Turn on device for...) and then reduce it to the time you want (Turn on device for...) after an announcement saying how long it was set for.

It would be easier with Alexa as you can add and remove time from device timers. This is very handy when charging my phone.

Have setup a 2 hour "on" for a powerpoint, in the Google Home>Automations tab. Actions are:

1/ Turn on device
2/ Delay for 2 hours
3/ Turn off device

Is there any way, after activation, that I can view either: how long it has been on AND/OR how long before it turns off.

I can't see any way to check this.

Thanks.

(and on another note:
Is there any way to setup an automation, that when run, will prompt me for the time to delay...?)
