Cync switch account not recognized

I am a techno rookie. Even the categories to post here are confusing to me. Hope I got them right. Here is my problem.

I installed two Cync outlet switches so that I could turn living room lights on/off by voice command. Used Cync App and synced data with Google Home. When I ask Google to turn lights on or off it says I must first set up an account but I have already done that. I can turn lights on/off through my phone but voice command does not work.

The data shows up on both the Cync App and the Google Home App but the tower does not recognize it.
