How do I change the password for my Nest thermostat? Why does Google make it so hard to find the answer?

Are you are talking about your thermostat's PIN code (lock code)? If so, see "How to change the lock code" in this Google Nest Help topic; in both the Google Nest app and Google Home app, you select the thermostat, select Settings, and select Unlock; when you lock it again you're supposed to be able to set a new PIN.
