A Nest for my Tenant

I want to buy a nest for my Tenant and I am okay to let him have his own account to control it by his phone. Can we place the nest on his wall and have it hooked up to HIS wi fi without getting into all this google account stuff here?

But I think this is the best solution.

Leave a device for the next resident

To give a device to another person, follow the instructions below. If you have a Nest Aware subscription, make sure you cancel your subscription

Open the Google Home app

.
Touch and hold your device's tile.
Tap Settings

Remove device

Remove.
Perform a factory reset. A factory reset will reset your thermostat, doorbell, or camera to its default factory settings.

Note: This action will clear your data from the device and can't be undone.

@joart thanks for reaching out. I understand your concern about linking the Nest device to your tenant's own account. Just to be sure, what Nest product are you referring to? How many Nest products are you planning to share with your tenant? If in case, it's about the Nest camera or Nest doorbell you may try the steps given above.

Thank You for you reply. It would only to a thermostat for a studio. No cameras or ring doorbells or anything else involved. The simplest is best to be hooked up to his wifi. In other words if he bought his own nest thats how it would be done so the only difference is I will be paying for it. I have not figured out which nest we need yet ????

That depends on what you try to achieve, but as it is only for a studio, the Nest Thermostat E should do just fine. But it also depends on the heating system itself you are having.

See if the compatibility website helps you decide which is best and should work.

Its a forced Hot water heating system controling one zone circulator. I am familiar with the Nest Learning as I have one for myself elsewhere. Im thinking that may be best?
