Modem for Google Router

What are good modems to use with the Google router and mesh system? The one I have is not communicating well to the router and wifi keeps dropping

Hi Victoria2,

Thanks for posting and sorry for the delay.

Any modem should be compatible with the Google Nest Router. The primary Wifi point needs to be connected to a modem with an Ethernet cable. Additional Wifi points are wireless; you only need to connect it to a power outlet (although they can be connected to each other via Ethernet, if you prefer).

Also, if your modem has a Wi-Fi capability, we suggest turning it off by setting your modem to bridge mode to avoid Double NAT issues. You can check this link for more information.

Thanks Mel. I was really looking for a recommendation. The modem I have keeps dropping the router and it has become a problem. I don’t know that they are comparable and would like to try a new modem before scrapping the entire system.
