Morning Routine: News get played while reminders an appointments are still being read

Hello,

my moring routing ends with "reminders and appointments" (= RaA) followed by "read the news".

The moring routine is usually triggered by voice to the NestMini in the bedroom.

But when the RaA are being read out the routine in parallel starts to air the news on the other home/nest speakers in the flat.
Thats of course quite anoying as you always miss the end of the RaA or the first topics of the news.
#All Devices are in a speaker-group, so I can move to the kitchen or the bath while news are being read out.

Sadly its not possible to add delays to this routine, but that would still be a workaround as the RaA rerquire a different ammounf of time each day depending on the amount of entrys.

Do you have any ideas?

Thanks for reaching out.

If you're referring to pausing the routine you created, you can follow these steps:

If you don't want a Routine to run for a period of time, you can turn it off temporarily.

On your Android phone, open the Google Home app .
On the Home screen, tap Routines .
Select the Routine you want to pause.
At the top, turn off Activate Routine.
At the bottom right, tap Save.

Note: Home & Away Routines can't be paused, but you can turn off presence sensing so they won't start automatically.

no, thats not the topic - I want the routine to wait until it has read out the output from one task, until it starts reading out the output from the next task in the routine. Your suggestion, as I understand it, would stop the whole routine.

I can not attentive listen to appointments and radio news at the same time.

Right now, routines are limited to these actions:

Adjust home devices: Turn on, turn off, or adjust smart home devices like lights, plugs, switches, or thermostats.
Play and control media: Play media like music, news, radio, and podcasts.
Get info and reminders: Get info like the weather, your commute, your calendar events and reminders.
Communicate and announce: Broadcast messages and send and read texts.
Adjust Google Assistant volume: Change the volume on your Google Assistant-enabled device.
Adjust phone settings: For Android devices, adjust the phone volume, get a battery level notification, and turn Do Not Disturb on or off.
Perform an action based on a command: Enter a command that works with Google Assistant.
