Remote volume not working

It's been days since the volume buttons don't work at all on my google remote.every time i try a light flashes and does not work at all.any advice?thank you

Hey SabrinaAlexa,

That certainly hasn't been easy for you — let's see what's going on.

A few questions: is it only happening with the volume button of your Chromecast Voice Remote? Have you tried unpairing your remote to your Chromecast? Also, are you still using the same battery?

Give these steps a try:

Reinstall the batteries after 5 minutes- remove the Voice Remote’s batteries, then wait 5 minutes.
If the issue persists, try resetting your Chromecast and remote.
