Multiple wifi networks and nest cameras

I would like to subscribe to Nest Aware however I have multiple wifi networks and nest cameras. These multiple wifi networks are at one house. I have the cameras connected to separate wifi networks. Can I subscribe these 2 cameras to one nest aware account. Thank you

The Nest Aware subscription is based on your Google account. So if you are using the same account for everything you should be ok.

Different WiFi networks don't really matter as long as the devices are able to reach the internet.

Years ago, the Nest app originally allowed multiple Wi-Fi networks in one Nest "home/structure" but that is not true anymore. All devices in a Google Nest "home/structure" need to be on the same Wi-Fi network. Some customers have commented that that is the reason why, if you already have Google Nest devices in your Google Nest "home/structure", the install process tries to obtain the Wi-Fi credentials from an already-installed device (and when it fails, as it does too often, the infamous "cannot connect to assisting device" error occurs), rather than letting you select a Wi-Fi network and enter a password.

In addition, a Nest Aware subscription applies to only one Google Nest "home/structure":

In addition, in both the Google Nest app and the Google Home app, you can only view and control products in one Google Nest "home/structure" at a time. You can check the Nest Aware subscription for each "home/structure" by selecting Settings | Nest Aware while in that "home/structure".

You are referring to a Google Wifi support page. Not sure if @Wklaine has multiple Google Wifi products or just uses a different SSID. Could you please elaborate if you 2 different routers or just using different access points with different SSID? 😊

For some reason, the Google Wi-Fi support page seems to be the only place where Google Nest documents that "The Google Home app supports only one Wi-Fi network per home". That's why I cited it. And Google Nest does not seem to clearly document that you need a separate Nest Aware subscription for each Google Nest "home/structure." That's why I cited a post in this forum. You cannot have multiple Wi-Fi networks (SSIDs) in the same Google Nest "home/structure". The hardware supporting those networks makes no difference. If you have routers with different SSIDS, you need a separate Google Nest "home/structure". If you have different access points with different SSIDs, you need a separate Google Nest "home/structure".

This community forum has many many posts where customers have been caught on these limitations. Some customers are surprised to find out that because they have multiple Wi-Fi networks on their property, they need multiple Nest Aware subscriptions because they need a separate Google Nest "home/structure" for each Wi-Fi network. Some customer are surprised to find out that, because they have multiple Google Nest "homes/structures", they need multiple Nest Aware subscriptions. Still other customers don't realize they have set up multiple Google Nest "homes/structures" and end up applying a Nest Aware subscription to the wrong Google Nest "home/structure". And the dozens and dozens of posts about being unable to connect to the "assisting device" over the last year is another symptom of these restrictions.

I have 2 different routers. Each wifi network is setup to a different "home".

@Wklaine thanks for posting here in the community. I understand your concern about subscribing to Nest Aware. You may apply the subscription to your home structure with your Nest cameras. It will cover all of your Nest cameras under that home structure. Here's how: Nest Aware.
