Chromecast remote help

Hi my chromecast with google tv remote does not work any more I try to put the battery's in but the light doesn't turn on the rest doesn't work either and it cost 30 aud for a new one so how can I fix it because I got it for Christmas 2021 so almost for a year now

There is a phone app remote. With it you could try to make sure the physical remote is paired correctly. Check under settings -> remote and accessories.

It's ok I'm just going to buy a new remote anyway because it happened after a battery leakage
