I installed a new furnace and did not have time to finish hooking up the a/c unit. My nest now won’t let me turn on the furnace because it’s having an error code because it isn’t communicating with the a/c unit. Is there a way to bypass this so i can run my furnace?

Hi Skohler23,

That certainly hasn't been easy for you ― let’s check this out.

What Google Home/Nest device do you have? Are you able to see your new A/C on your Google Home app? Try to do a sequential reboot on your devices and if it doesn’t work, please check the support website articles below to see some additional troubleshooting steps and let me know how it goes.

Connect smart home devices in the Google Home app

List of supported smart home devices

Note: the partners themselves manage the URL portal used to link partners in the Google Home app. Issues encountered when linking a partner (home control) should be directed to that home automation partner for support. Partners are expected to support the integration of their products with Google Nest and Home devices.

Best,

Dan

Hi there,

I wanted to follow up and see if you are still in need of any help. Have you had the chance to try the suggestion above? If yes, how is it?

Regards,
