What do you need >100mbps on a Google TV/ Chromecast for? For greater stability and lower latency, you could consider adding wired connection, but it will also be limited to 100mbps.

It's a cost vs. benefit thing. To hit a given price point comprimises have to be made. If 100mbps doesn't impact the experience negativelly, it's a good place to cut save cost. Other than being a lower number than what you'd wish for, does 100mbps impact your experience with Google TV in any way?

Also, comparing a ~999$ phone to the Google TV is not fair. If ultimate performance in a media pleyer being able to receive Chromecast isimportant to you, nVidia Shield Android TV Pro is a more suitable device.

I don't work at Google and this is just my opinion. 😊

I would agree 100mbps is sufficient if that spreed was stable, but in average i'm getting 40-50mbps. This impact the streaminig of 4k content.

Sorry but why would it impact your streaming ? 4k is 35 Mbps, if you are getting 50 then you are fine.

If you are using nest wifi, run a mesh test to see the health of your network, or as others have suggested you can add ethernet if you wish.

If you are concentrating on speeds.. don't. The numbers matter not, only the actual experience.
