Amazon Fire Stick won't connect with Google Wi Fi mesh point

Can't connect Fire Stick with Google Wi FI mesh point even though the mesh point is in the adjacent room on the same level. Also, I think the fire stick may not be seeing the 2.4 band which it requires....

Thank you for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with connecting your Amazon Fire stick to your Google WiFi. I'd love to know more about this, and I have a few questions:

Haw far is it from the nearest Google WiFi point?
What message are you getting when you try to set it up?
