Hi,

1. I am just wondering if I already own a modem that costs monthly rent fee. Can I just use the google nested router as an extender? Or do I must replace the modem I own right now.

Thanks for reaching out. I'm afraid the Google Nest WiFi won't work as an extender.To set it up, it needs to be connected to your ISP's modem and it would work as a router. You could click on this link to learn more about this.
