I have the same issue since March update (Aus). I had correct speeds prior no issue. Take them back. Google has no interest in fixing it.

Hi guys,

I'm in Australia so these speeds are laughable. But here is my problem even though via the ethernet cable plugged into the Google wifi is coming in at 50mbps down 18 up, the speeds on the mesh network is registering as 12 down and 14 up and that's not useable internet.

Any suggestions on how to fix it the ISP reckons all fine on there end and the nbn/network wholesaler has been out checked the lines, replaced plugs etc... And tested the cable that connects to the Google WiFi so I have no idea what to try next?

Hi folks,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with your Google Wifi speeds. To isolate the issue, could you try doing a speed test directly from your ISP router? Also, if you haven't yet, please try the troubleshooting steps on this link to isolate the issue.

Thanks,

Edward

Hi Jeff. The issue is ongoing since March. Prior to this Google wifi provided speed similar to my modem. I have reviewed ALL the suggestions. Speed test results from my modem are at 96.7 DL 18.1 UL. Google Wifi is 14.5DL 18.2 UL. Extremely disappointing, especially as this is not an isolated issue.

Tried all this Edward can plug a laptop directly into the cable plug into router and get useable internet speeds plug router in and wifi is unusable 52 down 19up. Borrowed another non google router plugged in wi-fi worked 42down 18up. It's isolated to the Google mesh

Used all google home analytics mesh says strong, etc but the speed is 14 down 16 up this is well unusable you tube video don't play.
