Connectivity issues with Amazon Cloud Cameras

Hello I’ve been losing internet connections on my Amazon cloud cameras. Seems like the max devices I can have on my network are 14-15. Definitely not the advertised 200. My modem is the Motorola MG7540.

Hello Edward. I’m using the Google Nest WiFi router AC2200 (latest one). So far it’s only the cameras. I recently linked a LED light strip to the WiFi and that seemed to start kicking them offline but even with that, that’s only 15 devices.

Thanks for the response. Just to clarify, Are you getting any message when you try to reconnect the cameras? If you haven't yet, please try doing a 2 minute reboot on your Google Wifi devices and check if your cameras would reconnect.

Could you please explain the reboot procedure? No messages when the cameras are disconnected. It is very random when they disconnect and reconnect.

Hi tmath29,

Thanks for the response. Please try the following steps and let us know how it goes.

Disconnect the power from the modem.
Disconnect the Ethernet cable and power cord from the parent point.
Disconnect the power cord from the child point.
Leave everything unplugged for 2 minutes.
Connect the power to the modem and allow the modem to fully power on before proceeding. This process can take up to a minute.
- All light indicators should be solid colors.
- Connect the Ethernet cable, then the power cable to the parent point. Wait until it’s fully back online.
Connect the power cord to the child points.
