LAN stops working when internet goes down

I’m having internet issues with my service provider, but I would expect that the LAN would still work so that I could see the printer, NAS, and other network devices when the internet is down. My three Nest WiFi appear as offline when the internet is down and no devices appear as connected.

Any suggestions?

That is really strange for sure. I have nest wifi as well, but the LAN still works when our internet drops. I have made sure that my internet providers modem is only a modem and that all routing functions are disabled so that there is no double NAT issue.

Obviously when the internet is down certain things don't work, like our printer only works when directly connected as it's a cloud based one and needs an internet connection to function.

My modem does not have integral WiFi so no conflicts there. Any idea what settings in the Nest units that might be causing this?

@EdwardT all three show up in the Home app as offline and I cannot access their settings, test the mesh, etc.
