Can I get Nest doorbell (battery) visitor announcements on my Nest Mesh Wifi speaker?

I have the Nest Mesh Wifi pair where the 2nd unit has a microphone & speaker. I'm looking to purchase the Nest Doorbell (Battery) and wanted to confirm if I can use the speaker on my 2nd unit for the chime/announcement?

Google support says you can with Nest a speaker or display, but it doesn't say whether it will work for the speakers in the Mesh Wifi - https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7672451?hl=en#zippy=

So I bought one and can confirm that it does work. This is despite Google-help (some person who really didn't seem confident...probably reading off a factsheet) advising me otherwise.

Hi Edward, I took a look at the video and unfortunately it did not resolve this. The Google Nest Mini works fine. The Wi-Fi hubs still do not announce visitors or the doorbell.

Hi benuwine,

The feature for visitor announcements work for Google Home devices and displays. Google Assistant needs to be enabled for this to work. I would suggest enabling it and let us know if visitor announcement would work on your Nest Wifi point.
