Using Google Nest Wi-Fi, is there a way to set a permanent or auto Priority Device?

I work from home (have for 4+ years, but this is common now for many), and would like my work computer to ALWAYS be priority during business hours - especially on days when kids are home from school and competing for internet.

Currently I have to open the app and manually set it every 4 hours, which is incredibly inconvenient... It would be great if I could just set a chosen device either as "always" priority, or automatic on weekdays from 8-5.

The Google Home and Nest apps already allow creating schedules for Family Wi-Fi, why isn't there a schedule for Priority Device? There are also schedules for Nest Thermostats, Cameras, or other devices - where's the schedule for Wi-Fi device priority?

Hello Alan Swenson,

This is a great idea. It seems like Google is trying to automatically prioritize specific applications (like video calls and Stadia gaming) so there's less need to prioritize a whole device. But, I know this doesn't cover every use-case, so with more people working from home, I can definitely see how it would be nice to have some more control over prioritization. I would encourage you to send this idea directly to Google through the "Feedback" feature built into the Google Home app.

I have the same need. I just ran a speed test and got 180 Mbps down. Then set my laptop to "priority device" and got 225 Mbps down. Wish there was a way to set my device permanently as priority.

Similar need - commenting the obvious to increase visibility. Hopefully this makes the list of enhancements.

Having to set priority every 4 to 8 hours is not ideal and it gets very tedious and cumbersome. I would like to set priority and forget about it till I NEED to change it. Please give us more options!!

Same requirement here! This is an really important feature, I would also like to set the priority on a device permanently.
