Replacing Google WiFi Router with nest Wi-Fi router

So, how to I upgrade my Google Wi-Fi router to the New Nest one and:

1. Not have to re-login on all my devices, and

2. Use my original Google Wi-Fi router as a Wi-Fi point now?

Replacing your main node requires a reset of your network (and all the pucks) unfortunately, it can't be replaced without configuring it from scratch.

If I name the network the same and same password, will all my "toys" connect automatically?

Hello @john21mart

1. To avoid having to reconfigure your client devices, just make sure the new network you set up with the Nest WiFi Router has the same network name and shared password.

2. To add your existing Google WiFi to the new system as a secondary / point, you'll need to perform a factory reset on the Google WiFi unit (or units). Here's a help page on how to do that: https://support.google.com/wifi/answer/6246619?hl=en

Thanks, so then how do I use my original Google wifi router as an additional access point???

Once they've all been factory reset, then can be added to your new network as secondaries / points.
