Google WiFi AC-1304: Need setup key

I've purchased a Google WiFi router off eBay. I have performed a factory reset. I can hit http://192.168.82.1/api/v1/status to confirm it is responding. However, the item came with no QR code and no set up key on the bottom.

Can I contact Google along with my hardware ID to request that code? Any other ideas?

If the QR code and setup key aren't available, try these steps:

Using an Ethernet cable, connect a computer directly to the Google Wifi router.
Open your computer’s web browser and go to http://192.168.84.1/api/v1/status.
Look for the “setupNetwork” section of the output.
Find the “ssid” (this will be the name of the setup Wifi network) and the “psk” (this will be the password used to connect).
Manually connect to the SSID and enter the PSK to connect to the Nest Wifi router and begin the setup process.

Thank you, David! It turns out the used router was evidently damaged. With the assistance of Google support, a couple of factory resets were attempted to correct was he was seeing in my status json. The resets never completed successfully and the support agent recommended contacting the seller for a refund. All ended well. I received the refund and I've ordered a new router

Hi FavoriteFox,

You can check the setup code on the bottom of your Google Wifi. Also, you can connect your Google Wifi or Google Nest Wifi router on a computer then go to http://192.168.84.1/api/v1/status. You can check this link for more details: Google Nest Wifi device or Google Wifi point doesn't have QR code
