google wi-fi setup issue with xfinity x1

I have xfinity modem/wireless router and cannot connect my google wi-fi point. Google Home app says it can’t connect to wi-fi point. Wi-fi point just blinks blue continuously and doesn’t go to white. Tried to enable bridge mode on xfinity x1 and that didn’t solve issue with wi-fi point either.

Xfinity X1 is, from what I can see, a TV decoder and/ or media streaming box, not a modem?

Do yo get internet access if you connect a PC to the ethernet port where you connect the Nest Wifi router?
