Work laptop connects to wifi, but has no internet

Hi everyone, my wife has an HP laptop from work, and she is trying to connect it to the internet, but when she does it says connected to wifi but no internet. Everything else in our home connects fine, and there is internet, , and shes used this laptop before at a home with a different set up than Google. Any ideas on what's going on?

Maybe it (the laptop) is configured to use a static IP? What IP does it get?

Maybe work enforces use of VPN when outside the offices, maybe it fails to connect? Common reasons for that is double NAT.
