Google Home App on Iphone keep showing "disconnected device" error for Google Home Hub and despite factory reset on google home hub and it being on the same wifi router as app on IOS ( which is running latest updated version of app) I cant get it to communicate...I can find the device

Hi @Karlster

When you factory reset a device you have to set the device up like it is a new device.

Please be sure to remove the devices first from your Google Home app before trying to add the again.
Also be sure when you are trying to add them temporary disable Apple Private Relay for iCloud.

Does the Google Home app tell you the devices are ALWAYS offline and disconnected?

We sometimes get this phony error on one or more of our Nest Hubs, when the Nest Hub is actually online and fully functioning otherwise. Sometimes the claim that the device is offline and disconnected just goes away if I close and re-open the Google Home app. Sometimes it goes away if I do something on the Nest Hub and then revisit the Google Home app. Sometimes if we just revisit the Google Home app later, everything is fine. I just ignore it now; the Nest Hubs are working fine and the Google Home app is simply temporarily mistaken.
