Not bein able to retrieve psk

Hi all,

I have read that post but unfortunately not yet the solution to finding the PSK code of a google Wifi puck. Where in the past this was easy to retrieve it via 192.168.84.1/api/v1.status ... more and more people report that the SSID is found with a setup state of "no set-up".... but with NO PSK being displayed.

Is there truly no way the PSK based on SSID somehow ?

It would be a waste to throw the puck away while you know there is nothing wrong with it.

I really hope somebody found a way or the google support group can help me

Hi rplamberts,

Thanks for posting.

Could you try to factory reset your Google Nest Wifi? When you factory reset your network, your data and settings will be erased. If you want to remember those settings for a new network, take note of your network name and password and any custom settings or details that you added.

Hi Abi,

Sorry I though i had replied.. but do not see the response online. No unfortunately the matter has not been resolved. I have performed more than 10 hard resets... but unfortunately this does not help with regards to revealing the PSK. After the reset linking the puck via a Ethernet cable.. it only shows the SSID and states that it is in set-up mode.. however the PSK is not shown. Without this I cannot set-up the wifi google puck .. which worked fine untill I had to reset-up my network as i moved house.

Hopefully there is another way to retrieve this PSK.
