Can’t setup google fiber

Hello,

I am trying to setup my google fiber wifi. I downloaded the app and followed all of the instructions and it fails the setup. I do not get any errors from the Home app during the setup process. I am not able to complete the setup process. It says: “Checking Internet Connection This won’t take long”. Then it says: ”Connection issue. The modem isn’t giving your WiFi point an internet connection…” and invites me to restart the network. I have unplugged everything, waited 3 minutes, plugged it back in 3 times and still getting the same connection issue.

I have the same issue, and frankly it’s insane that the first response when you google it is that they send you to this person who had a similar issue without any response. We switched to google fiber because it was supposedly better than our old internet, but we can’t even connect it.

Thanks for posting. I’m sorry to hear you’re having an issue with your Google Fiber service. To isolate the issue, could you connect your fiber jack directly to a computer or a laptop and check if there will be an internet connection? I’ll wait for your update.
