Nest Extender with PS5

i have google internet with the white puck wi-fi set up in my room at the back of the house and i got an extender for the ps5 in the living room to be able to connect to google’s superior internet speeds but i can’t find the wi-fi EXTENSION in the ps5 list of wi-fi connection points. I only see my original wi-fi point. Same goes for my i phone and my i pad. I see no way to connect to the nest Extender

My understanding is that as it's a mesh network, all extenders will be seen as one, with a single network shown. The network and PS5 decide which access point to connect to.
