Nest Wifi Pro Limited Wired Speed

Hello, I'm having issue with my desktop PC pulling advertised download speeds through a wired access point with a Nest WiFi Pro 2pk.

I have the main unit connected to my cable modem providing WiFi to the house, and the 2nd unit one room over that has an Ethernet cable running to the PC. In looking at my Google Home app, the network tests at 747mbps on WiFi, in line with my ISP's provided speeds. I've done multiple speed tests from my Pixel 6 on WiFi, and the latest one received a download speed of 532mbps (sitting in the room with the 2nd unit attached to the PC). However, the PC that is connected to the 2nd Nest unit does not pull more than 20mbps on average. There seems to be something severely limiting my download speed on a wired connection, and I'm not sure why. I've tried looking into settings on my PC as well as the Google Home app, but am not sure what I could be looking for.

System specs:

Windows 11 Home

Motherboard: Gigabyte AX370-Gaming K5

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5800X3D

RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB DDR4 3200

I'm in the US near Chicago.

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear you're having slow speeds via wired connected. Could you check the Ethernet cable you're using for your PC? Please check if it's a CAT5, CAT5e or CAT6 cable. I'll wait for your update.

Hello, I'm running at CAT5e, which should be able to handle more than the internet speed my ISP is providing.

Hey there JPickles,

Thanks for the reply. A quick question: are you using a modem/router combo from your Internet Service Provider (ISP)?

Give these steps a try:

If you're using a modem/router combo, set that to bridge mode to avoid double NAT issues.
Make sure that there is minimal to no interference (concrete, bulletproof glass, metal, mirror, etc.) and the points are no more than two rooms apart.
Remove any special characters in your network name and password.
Turn off IPv6.
Change your DNS server into 8.8.8.8 on the primary and 8.8.4.4 on the secondary server. Hit the save/ floppy disk icon on the upper right.
Unplug the power from your Google Wifi devices for 2 minutes.
If the issue persists, try factory resetting your network. Take note that this will delete all network data.
