Help!

I have successfully set up a Google WiFi Nest in my home with router connected to modem and two mesh points. All works well and very happy. I have a large shed, however, out the back that is too far from the home mesh to get a signal.

I have connected an ethernet cable to the house modem and added a switch in the shed (the ethernet connection is good - I can run a desktop computer from the switch). I have bought a second Google Nest pack and hoped to connect the router to the switch in the shed and set up a second home. The nest router is connected to the switch and happily flashes its white light. In the Google Home app I select 'Create a new home'. In the Home nickname page I enter a name (different to the one used in the house). When i select Next I get an error message 'couldn't be completed. (com.google.sso error -206.)'. From there I get nowhere.

Is what I am trying to do impossible?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why don't you want it to be part of your existing home, as one seamless network? That's supported and known as "wired backhaul". I just write a reply about it here:

About your error. It _could_ be that your new Nest Wifi router detects that it's behind another Nest Wifi router. But the error says nothing about that, so.. What exact unmanaged switch did you use here?

Turns out that when I tried daisy chain link it worked! So issue has been resolved.
