Need a 2.4ghz wifi network for my security cameras and solar app

Hi. I have FTTP connected to my property and use the Google Wifi Nest and it is showing as 5ghz only. I use swan cameras and the SOFAR app for my solar inverter and they require a 2.4GHZ connection. I have tried setting up a guest network but this does not work. is there a work around or a way I can get my modem to create a 2.4ghz network?

Hi @Ourdarwin10

Nest WiFi uses 5GHz and 2.4GHz at the same time.
It is up to the device to connect its supported network.
So there is a 2.4GHz network available but without a separate SSID.

If your devices don't connect, you could try contacting the vendors, or you will need to create a workaround. 🙂
I have read about some success with another router (or mobile hotspot) with the identical SSID and password so it connects to it. When the connection is successful, turn of the router, and it should connect to your Nest Wifi setup.
