Failed factory reset on Google WiFi Router (H2D), produces solid white light

I had to factory reset my H2D Google WiFi Router but unfortunately it won't complete the reset and restarts with a solid white light instead of a flashing one. As a result, I cannot find it in the Google Home App & the unit itself appears to be overheating.

I've tried resetting multiple times without success following Google instructions. Same issue as here, but yet to find resolution anywhere:
