Hi Justfrustrated,

Apologies for the delay, and we’re sorry to hear about your experience. A few questions: which Nest Wifi device are we working with? Are you using a modem/router combo from your Internet Service Provider (ISP)?

Let’s try these steps. Please perform a 2-minute power cycle on your entire network to re-establish the connection on your connected devices. Here's how:

Disconnect the power from the modem.

Disconnect the Ethernet cable and power cord from the parent point.

Disconnect the power cord from the child points.

Leave everything unplugged for 2 minutes.

Connect the power cord to the modem then to your router and points.

Also, you can see and manage your devices in the Google Home app. If idle devices are still available, go to the device in question inside the Google Home app, then settings (icon), then select "remove/delete".

If that does not work, you can try to delete the whole Nest Wifi network from your Google Home home, then set up the network from scratch. Reuse the network name (SSID) and password so that the setup is easier.

If the issue persists, try factory resetting your network. Take note that this will delete all network data.

Thanks for helping, MsDrasby!

Best,

There's no way to remove idle devices, would like to actually get a solution to a problem, instead of being lied to about the problem being able to get fixed.

I understand your frustration. It is not currently possible to remove idle devices from Google Wifi.

There are a few things you can do to manage idle devices on your network:

You can pause the internet for specific devices. This will prevent them from using any data, even if they are connected to your network. To do this, open the Google Home app, tap Favorites > Wifi > Family Wi-Fi, and then tap the name of the device you want to pause. Tap Pause.

You can create a guest network for guests and other devices that you don't want to have full access to your network. This will allow them to connect to the internet, but they won't be able to see other devices on your network or access your files. To create a guest network, open the Google Home app, tap Favorites > Wifi > Add network. Follow the instructions to create a guest network.

You can also use a third-party device manager to manage your network. These devices can help you to identify and remove idle devices, as well as manage other aspects of your network.

I hope this helps!
