I have an existing home router and access point and I will be moving to a new home soon and want to know the easiest way to move and setup these devices in my new home. I use the google home app.

the device name and software are

Model: H2D
 Software version: 14150.882.9

Model: H2E
 Software version: 1.56.375543

Should I just create a new home and delete the old one?

Factory reset and start over?

thanks!

You don't necessarily need to reset them, as long as the type of ISP connection in your new home is the same as the one in your current home. You may be able to simply connect the router to the modem in your new home.

Then it would just be a case of changing the address for your home:
Change Google home address - Google Nest Help

Thanks for the reply. I am going from a service that delivers internet via cable modem to Verizon. I don't think Verizon uses cable modems. Would that be a problem?

I don't recall how Verizon delivers it's service, but essentially Nest Wifi only supports these connection methods:

DHCP

Static IP

PPPoE

As for the physical cable into your Nest Wifi router, that has to be ethernet. If the connection is delivered on coaxial cable for example, you can get MoCA adapters that convert coaxial cable to ethernet.

The simplest thing to do here is going to be to give it a try. If it doesn't work, you can factory reset your Wifi points and retry setup. This is sometimes needed when the type of ISP connection you're plugging into Nest Wifi changes.
