Let's say the printer in these diagrams is the NAS, and the desktop computer is the laptop. It's wired like this (wireless backhaul):

Or this (wired backhaul):

And laptop connected to the switch by wire can't reach the NAS?

Can you see the NAS in the Google Home device list?

Did the NAS have a static IP configured on it previously, has this been set back to DHCP?

Hello
Need your expertise.
Earlier today helped a friend set up his Mesh network.
Everything works except the connection to the NAS when the laptop is connected via cable.
It works fine when the laptop is connected via WiFi.
Setup: Fiber box (Icotera i5801-05) > Google Nest (1+2) > 24-port switch (D-Link DGS-1044D)(without restrictions) >
1: NAS (WD My Cloud) (wired)
2: Portable (wired or WiFi)
It has worked before when he had another IPS (Telenor). At that time, a router (in bridge mode) was inserted between the fiber box and Google Nest. The NAS can only be pinged when the laptop is connected via WiFi, but not pinged when the laptop is connected via cable.
The internet works fine regardless of whether the laptop is on via WiFi or cable.
Anyone have an idea of what we've missed?

Hmm, that's very strange. If it also get's an IP from Nest Wifi it should be reachable. Does it have some firewall, IP whitelisting?

Can you ping it?

Can you do PowerShell "Test-NetConnection -ComputerName <its_IP_address> -Port <80/443/whatever_port_webGUI_uses>" to test TCP connection?

Yes, it is very strange - I will soon have no more hair on my head.

Firewall is disabled.

HI @Anonymous

I can ping nas via ip on wifi, but not on the LAN cable.

Everything works except LAN connections internally.

Have 2 printers , I have discovered that I can't connect via LAN cable either.
