Hi FJO,

We’re sorry you had to go through all that and still without any resolution. Let us help you out:

What devices do you see that are unnamed and are not being used anymore?

Are they all linked to your Google account?

If they were linked to your account, you can try these steps:

Go to the Security section of your Google Account.

Under “Third-party apps with account access,” select Manage third-party access.

Select the speakers that have the duplicate you want to remove.

Select Remove Access.

After that, you can do a sequential reboot of your entire network and see if that helps, or please perform a 2-minute power cycle on your entire network to re-establish the connection on your connected devices. Here's how:

Disconnect the power from the modem.

Disconnect the Ethernet cable and power cord from the parent point.

Disconnect the power cord from the child points.

Leave everything unplugged for 2 minutes.

Connect the power cord to the modem then to your router and points.

Let us know how it goes.

Best,

Dan

The WiFi section in the Google home app doesn’t seem to have a manual way to remove offline devices from the network devices list,

It was suggested on prior threads that devices that have been offline for a month would automatically fall off the list, but I have unnamed devices that have been offline for months and are still on the list. These threads were then closed, but over a year later the issue is still unresolved (devices don’t fall off the list and a manual option to remove them seems to still be not available).

Prior threads referred to prior versions of WiFi mesh systems from Google, suggesting that the issue is with the Google Home app and not specific to Nest WiFi Pro.

Is there an option to manually remove them that I have missed?

Hey Dan_A,

The issue mentioned above is about managing/deleting devices that are no longer online (and will never be due to randomised MAC addresses or one-time visitor connections).

In the Home app, If i go to Wi-fi, then XX Devices I have pages of "Unamed device" that are offline.

I want to remove them permanently. I do understand there may be log/bandwidth data associated with these, but I am happy to lose that too.

Yes, I know I could factory reset the router, but that is a clunky workaround and this feature I would expect to be able to do from the app when managing my network.

Thanks
