Hello,

I purchased Google WiFi mesh system 3 pack and set it up but not sure I did it correctly

Here is my current set situation

ISP is Verizon Fios with 500 mps service

Verizon G1100 Router - ethernet cable and coax cable both go into router (not sure if that is necessary)

I still use Verizon TV set top boxes (I like cable TV)

Purchased Google WiFi mesh system 3 pack

I think I need the existing router for TV service so I kept the COAX cable in the Verizon router and put the ethernet cable into the "main" Google Mesh

The Google WiFi shows up on our wireless network and that is what we have most devices (cell phones, computer, ChromeCast, Peloton, etc.) running on

Here are the issues I am running into

Wifi is not better than it was before. When streaming ChromeCast or Peloton lags or freezes

Some cable TV stations become pixelated and scrambled

No Program Guide on TV

I have read so many guides, articles, posts, etc. I'm not sure I "did it right" out of the box but am also not sure how to fix. Thanks in advance!

I will answer my own question - I got in touch with Verizon Support and they were actually very helpful. In layman's (idiot's) terms here is how I ended up.

The "main" Verizon hard wired supplied Ethernet goes into the White ethernet port on the Verizon router

You need to log into the Verizon router and disable the WiFi signal from that router. The Verizon tech support had to walk me through - essentially you just enter your IP address and use the password printed on the actual Verizon router. It takes awhile to find the right topic once you are logged in but there are radio buttons that allow you to turn the WiFi signal On or Off

Once that is done take the ethernet cable Google supplies, plug it into a Yellow Verizon Router port and into the Globe ethernet port to the "main" Google mesh router.
