Unable to add WiFi point. Connects and when finalising, the app times out

I am trying to add a third WiFi point to an existing latest generation router.
evertime I try to add the router the set up connects, creates the mesh and then crashes when it gets to the finalising the setup

Try these steps:

Power off your modem or modem/router combo.
Power off all your routers and points.
Wait 30 seconds (no seriously, it sounds slightly strange I know).
Power on your modem and wait for it to fully power on.
Power on just your primary router and wait for it to fully power on,
Power on the additional Wifi point.
Make sure it's ready for setup. If not, use the physical button on the device to factory reset it.
