I am trying to connect nest audio to Google home. I am receiving this message. I bought two speakers and both are doing the same thing. I had an old speaker and now I cant see it in home device. How can I correct this? UPnP is enabled. I read somewhere that this setting should be turned on.

What brand and model of router do you have?

Have you tried using a different phone or tablet for setup?

You could also try setting it up with a Wi-Fi hotspot as a test. This will tell you whether it's a problem with your router or the device itself. Note you will need 2 devices to set this up.

Turn on the Wifi hotspot feature on a phone or tablet. If you're not sure how to do this, refer to the manufacturer's support website.

Connect a second phone or tablet to that Wifi hotspot.

You can then use that second phone or tablet to setup your device and connect it to the Wifi hotspot on the first phone or tablet.

I am using Google nest wifi pro. I am getting the attached message. I tried it from my phone and tablet. Same message. If I unplug one of my existing speakers and plug it back in it is no longer visible in the home app. that is why i think it is the wifi pro

Nest Wifi Pro doesn't have a setting for AP/client isolation, it's disabled by default on the primary Wi-Fi network. However, it is enabled on the guest network. Are you definitely connecting your speaker to the same Wi-Fi your phone is connected to, not the guest network?

Hello there.

Thanks for posting in the community!

Thank you very much, @David_K, for providing some steps to solve this situation. Regarding activating the Guest Network again on the Google Home App, it is not recommended to do that, since it might provoke the same scenario with the Nest Audio speakers.

If your router allows it, you could consider creating a separate Wi-Fi network specifically for your smart home devices. This network can be isolated from your main network and guest network for security purposes, but it still allows your smart speakers to communicate with Google Home.

If you have any other questions about connecting your Nest Audio speakers, let me know.

Best regards,

Nery.
