This has not changed, and it is a long-standing issue. The "extra" home instance is still the best solution, unfortunately.

I have a nest WiFi system with 3 access points currently. The router is currently on its last legs and I am looking for something to replace it with. I do however have one HUGE issue with the system and wonder if it's the same on the nest pro - if so it's a deal breaker and I will look elsewhere.

Basically I want to allow my kids to connect to the WiFi, and have access to our Google home infrastructure, I just don't want them to be able to access the router settings. The workaround I have set up is really awkward! I have created 2 homes, one called admin which has only the router and points on, and the other called family which has all the other infrastructure on. This really isn't good enough though. I would prefer to have admins and users on the home and have just one.

If this problem will be the same on the Nest WiFi pro, I will shop around. If not I will upgrade to the pro.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, just as I had suspected. In that case I will look elsewhere.
