Google Wifi repeating dropouts via Ethernet or Wifi

Hello. Unsure if this is the same issue I've seen other posts about or not.

Here is the setup:

Starlink in bypass mode directly connected via Ethernet to Google Wifi router (purchased Oct 2024, but same behaviour with earlier model)
Notebook connected to 2nd Ethernet port of the Google Wifi router

The network periodically (about every 30secs) drops connectivity for a min or two, then resumes.

I was observing this with Wifi devices, but have eliminated Wifi issues per-se since it occurs when directly cabled, If I switch my notebook to directly connect to the Starlink, everything is perfect. Also, even when the Ethernet dropouts occur, the Starlink app reports no issues with the Starlink connection itself.

Given the exact same behaviour occurs with the previous generation product, I'm suspecting some software issue??

(now I have two useless Google Wifi routers and a mesh point!)

Any ideas?

Got a similar issue, it has been behaving like that for 2 days.

Please answer the following questions to gather more information about the concern and look for the best way to fix it:

Is there a switch on the network?
How far are the WiFi points from each other?
Do you have any special characters on your network name or password?
What troubleshooting steps have you tried?

In the meantime, please try changing your DNS servers and see if this process can provide a stable connection without any dropouts.

Open the Home app.
Tap Favorites.
Tap WiFi and then Network Settings and then Advanced Networking.
Tap DNS.
Select Custom, then enter "8.8.8.8" and "8.8.4.4.".
Tap Save.
