Can't add Nest WiFi router to existing Google Wifi network - 2 devices wired error

I have an existing Google Wifi mesh network. I'm trying to add a Nest Wifi router to the network via Ethernet cable. I tried this and discovered that I had to do this wirelessly before adding it via Ethernet.

I am trying to add it wirelessly. Google Home recognizes the device but I get the error "Couldn't add device. It could be that you have 2 devices wired to the same modem. Make sure all your devices are configured correctly."

I have tried the suggestions in this post which is

* Disconnecting the new Nest WiFi router and rebooting Google Home. Trying to add it wirelessly

* DNS changes 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4

I have also tried resetting the new router multiple times.

I do not want to reset the original router because of all the work involved in recreating the network

Any ideas on what else to try?

Are you trying to set up a Nest WiFi or Nest WiFi Pro?

It is a Nest WiFi. I have looked at those articles and still cannot get it to work.

Thanks for your reply. It seems that we will need to do a factory reset on all Wi-Fi points and create the network again.

OK, I have tried the factory reset. I am still not able to add the second Nest Wifi Router. The error message I get is "It could be that you have 2 devices wired to the same modem. ..."

Here is my setup. I have my router/modem from my ISP. That is connected to my original Nest Wifi Router to the World icon port. I normally have one computer connected to the <> icon on that router. I have tried disconnecting that when trying to add the second Nest Wifi Router but I get them same error message.

What can I try now?

Hi there!

Thanks for your reply. It's possible you're experiencing interference from your ISP modem when trying to add the access points (Nest Points) to your Google Nest network. To troubleshoot this, I recommend putting your ISP modem into bridge mode.

**Bridge mode allows you to continue receiving internet from your provider while deactivating the Google Fiber Wi-Fi network. This will leave you with only the network you've created using your Google Nest Router.

Once in bridge mode, try the following:

Factory reset the Nest Points.
Attempt to add them to your Google Nest network again.
