Hi StarNest,

Thanks for reaching out to our community.

I’m sorry to hear that your IPv6 is not working with your Nest WiFi Pro and Starlink Gen 1 Dishy. Thank you for letting us know the troubleshooting steps you have tried to better assist you. No worries, help is here.

Before I start further troubleshooting, let me ask you a few questions:

What error does the Google Home app state?

Have you ever been able to obtain an IPv6 address?

Are you trying to use IPv6 on the guest network?

In the meantime, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:

Force close the app, wait 5 minutes, and check the Google Wifi app’s WAN settings for an IPv6 address.

If no IPv6 address is available, disable IPv6.

Power cycle the modem and verify IPv4 availability:

Disconnect the power and Ethernet cable from the primary point and disconnect the power from the modem, leaving it unplugged for five minutes before plugging everything back in.

Ensure that the modem and primary point lights turn off completely when unplugged.

Some modems have backup battery packs, so the customer will need to disconnect the battery packs as well in order to ensure that the modem is completely turned off.

After five minutes, plug the modem back into power.

Once all the modem lights are back on, connect the Ethernet cable to the parent point's WAN port and connect the power back to the parent point.

Verify IPv6 address availability upstream: Connect a device to the standalone modem or bridged modem/router combo that is capable of utilizing IPv6.

Thanks for your attention: I will be looking forward to your kind response.

Best regards,

I have a Gen 1 "Dishy" Starlink, and my Nest Wifi Pro is connected directly to the Starlink power brick via Ethernet. There's no Starlink router in the setup – the connection goes straight to the Nest Wifi Pro.
I've enabled IPv6 in the Nest Wifi Pro's network settings, but websites like https://test-ipv6.com/ indicate that IPv6 isn't active on my devices (computer and phone).
Starlink supports IPv6 globally now, even on Gen 1 Dishy, so I don't think the issue lies with Starlink.
Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this and get IPv6 working with my Nest Wifi Pro and Starlink?

Thank you for your response. To answer your questions:

1. The Google Home app does not state anything. The IPv6 setting is enabled, however, beyond that it does not state anything.

2. I have not been able to obtain an IPv6 address using my Nest Wifi Pro. However, I did use an ethernet cord and plug my laptop directly into the Starlink power adapter using an ethernet cord (not router, I am not using a Starlink router in between.) My computer was able to obtain an IPv6 address using this method so it is not Starlink.

3. No, I am not using a guest network.

In regards to your troubleshooting steps, I have attempted them just as you stated and I still am not able to get IPv6 on my devices that are using the Nest WiFi Pro.

Thanks again for your help, I am looking forward to your response.
