Hey everyone,

My internet receiver is Point 2 point system via outdoor Mikrotik router, when I connect the POE to my Nest wifi Pro, on the setup stage, it shows 'Connect the internet provider cable' but when I do, it says 'Connection failed'. But I can use my Nest wifi pro on a default settings, it just can't be added on my Google home app.

I contacted Google assistance, they couldn't find a solution, neither does Miktorik support team!
Also, I went to my friend's home, to test my Nest wifi pro with DSL internet and Fiber, doesn't work either! I'm frustrated.
I recieved my Nest Wifi Pro as a gift which was bought in Canada but I live in Middle-east, could it be a problem? If yes, please help me solving it.

This isn’t an ISP or MikroTik issue. Google Nest Wifi Pro is region-locked during setup. Since it was bought in Canada and used in the Middle East, Google Home can’t complete activation, even though the internet works. That’s why it fails on DSL, fiber, and point-to-point connections. Unfortunately, there’s no official fix. Only possible workaround is setting it up in a supported country, which isn’t guaranteed.
